Cardinal Winter

Working hard to finish, "Cardinal Winter". It is the first in the ornament series by Little House Needle works. Very excited about this project! My grandmother has been gone for a long time now and one very strong memory i have is how much she loved ruby red and cardinals. To begin with I had chosen a much larger project that had cardinals in it even though the smaller projects are perfered now days. Then I seen this ornament and have been wanting to stitch the ornament SAL for a while. Well, i'm well on my way to the first finish! It will be posted as soon as the stitching is done! Melody
Today is another snow day here in Alabama! We have had a few snow situations pop up but never come to anything. Today will be different! Even though the radar shows snow above us, below us, and coming right at us, it seems we are in a little pocket of, "wait a min.". That is agravating, but sure enough......HERE IT COMES! Happy Snow Day everyone!
I have finally finished organizing all of my stash! The worst part was the mangled mass of thread. It's good to kind of know where everything is haha.
Here is a WIP that will be finished today or tomorrow. It's called, "Frosty Friends" by: Mosey' N Me (Frank and Judy Bielec). The pattern is from the 2008 Christmas Ornament issue of Just Cross Stitch Magazine page 77 .
Well, It's not tomorrow, but here is the Picture of, "Let It Snow", made in honor of our most recent snow day!
Living in Alabama we rarely see snow. When we do see snow it's not usually very much. Today was supposed to be a real good snow day. The schools closings were posted a day in advance along with Birmingham's 3 salt trucks all fired up ! lol Well, we didnt end up with anything more than some flurries here at my house and most other places also. We have lost faith in our beloved weather man and feel cheated. So much for my snow flake pillow case, snow flake bear beannie baby, and for the ornament i created in honor of our snow day.....that never was, all of which were my lucky snow charms haha. The ornament came from the Christmas Ornaments 2008 issue of Just Cross Stitch, by: Casey Buonaugurio Designs and is called, "Let It Snow". Instead of snow we had one more child go to the orthodontist today and get set up for braces which will be applied Monday and i went to the dr. for a thyroid check up and a check on my blood pressure which i thought was high. turns out m
